Sir Elton John confirmed he has joined the cast for Kingsman: The Golden Cirle on Instagram.

The musician shared a picture of the quote, “Wednesday’s night’s alright for fighting”, topped with a pair of his trademark sunglasses.

He captioned it: “It’s been a long time since Tommy…”, referencing the 1975 fantasy film based on The Who’s rock opera that he starred in alongside Jack Nicholson, Oliver Reed and Tina Turner among others.

It’s not yet know what role Sir Elton, 69, will play in the action-packed sequel which sees secret agents Eggsy (Taron Egerton) and Merlin (Mark Strong) joins forces with their American counterparts Statesmen after Kingsman HQ is destroyed by villain Poppy (Julianne Moore).
