Need something to perk up a rainy afternoon? Luckily stunning new pictures of Alexander Skarsgard have arrived to whet your appetite before the release of The Legend Of Tarzan.

The 39-year-old Swede plays the jungle-born hero who has now left behind the wild for a life among the English aristocracy as John Clayton, Lord Greystoke, with his wife Jane, played by Margot Robbie, by his side.

Tarzan is asked to return to the Congo to serve as a trade emissary for Parliament, unaware he is a pawn in a murderous plot masterminded by Leon Rom (Christoph Waltz).

But those who think they can tame the jungle have no idea what they’re about to unleash.

“A normal man can do the impossible to save the woman he loves,” says a defiant Jane, as she appears to be held captive as bait for her husband in the new trailer. ”Tarzan is no normal man.”

“Your husband’s wildness disturbs me more than I can express,” Leon replies.

In the action-packed trailer, Alexander can be seen in typical Tarzan pose, flexing his muscles as he swings through the trees.

The Legend Of Tarzan also stars Samuel L Jackson, Djimon Hounsou and Jim Broadbent.
