There's just no getting away from UKIP this week after their spate of bad publicity resulting from two TV programmes - 'Meet the Ukippers', which lends insight into their party and 'UKIP: The First 100 Days'; a dystopian mockumentary which imagines what it would be like if the party were elected to government.

UKIP councillor Rozanne Duncan was expelled from the party in December for what Farage described as 'deeply racist' comments on 'Meet the Ukippers' regarding black people.

Duncan said that she 'disliked negroid features,' reasoning her views with some bizarre New Age nonsense: "I don't know whether there is something in my psyche or whether it's karma from a previous life or whether something happened to me as a very, very young person and I've drawn a veil over it - because that sometimes happens, doesn't it?"

The ex-councillor, who was in the Thanet South seat, said she felt 'betrayed' by UKIP but had 'no regrets' - and continued to dig a hole by saying that it was just a description of a community, not an insult.

Duncan's mind-blowing lack of awareness is merely the latest incident for a party dogged by scandal - with members spewing racist, misogynistic and homophobic comments that should be forever consigned to the 1950s.

But it got us thinking about another man who has fallen by the wayside over the years - a once loved heartthrob in his Nineties prime who ventured on a downward spiral, hitting headlines by laying bare his toxic right-wing views, drink-driving and verbally slaughtering his ex-girlfriend in taped phone calls.

This man is, of course, controversial actor and producer Mel Gibson - of Braveheart and Lethal Weapon fame - who would probably be first in line to vote UKIP if he was living in Britain.

Thankfully, due to their pitiful performance in recent polls and scrambling PR attempts to bring the party back from the brink, we may never have to witness the horror of a 'Mel Gibson and Nigel Farage having a pint' photo op.

But without giving too much away, take our quiz to see if you can match the statement to a Ukipper or Mel Gibson!
