STAR Wars star Mark Hamill revealed he had to grow a beard for his return to the series and said his casting in the seventh movie was "an unexpected gift".
The actor played Luke Skywalker in the original trio of Star Wars films and said going on set evoked many memories.
He went on to praise the new generation of actors in the Star Wars cast, saying: "These kids - they are not kids - but they are so talented."
