T in The Park has a new location - but it’s still Scotland’s biggest and best music festival.

Here’s an A to Z guide to this year‘s bash…

A is for… Alabama Shakes. Frontwoman Brittany Howard sounds good on record, but she’s even better live. Her band’s soulful rock is pretty special too, and they’re a must-see band at T.

B is for… Becca MacIntyre. The Marmozets singer fronts one of the most exciting young groups in the UK, who come to T fresh off a tour with Muse.

C is for…Carl n’ Pete. As in Barat and Doherty, and the bromance behind the Libertines. They’ve got a new album on the way - how will their often shambolic sound go over in huge surroundings?

D is for… David Guetta. Love him or loathe him, David Guetta knows how to get a party going. He’ll be doing exactly that on Friday.

E is for… eez-eh. A tune guaranteed to spark mayhem when it kicks in, this will form one of Kasabian’s huge sing-a-longs, as the T veterans roll out the likes of Club Foot and Fire in a massive headline set.

F is for… Ferris Wheel. One of the most popular landmarks at Balado has made the festival switch too.

G is for… Grado. The popular wrestler has been announced as High Protector of Strathallan, promoting the Citizen T initiative that’s asking festival goers to respect the local area.

H is for… Hector Bizerk. One of Scotland’s most exciting bands get better and better, with new album The Waltz of Modern Psychiatry expanding their sound even further.

I is for…Idlewild. The resurgent Scottish rockers return to T, with old favourites and a new album in their armoury.

J is for…Justin Hayward-Young. The Vaccines singer has never hidden his band’s ambitions, and recent album English Graffiti suggests they’ll soon be headlining festivals in their own right.

K is for… Keith Flint. He of the terrifying reputation and lunatic dancing. The Prodigy remain a magnificent band, who’ll set T alight as it draws to a close on Sunday.

L is for… Lost In The Dream. The album that topped many a best of list last year, and flung The War On Drugs firmly into the mainstream. It’s Dire Straits meets Krautrock combo should sound great.

M is for…Messiah. After starring at the Commonwealth Games closing ceremony, local lads Prides open the main stage on Friday, meaning this tune is odds on to be the first anthem of the weekend.

N is for… Noel. Mr Gallagher and his High Flying Birds go from strength to strength. After rocking the Hydro earlier this year, now they’re set to take on T.

O is for… Oh oh oh. Expect the refrain from George Ezra’s jaunty Budapest to be a festival fave.

P is for… Paloma. Ms Faith will surely be one of T’s most stylish performers, and she’s got a clutch of hits, too.

Q is for… Queen of Hearts. Don’t be surprised if you see her, Snow White, and Cinderella at the festival. This year’s Fancydress Friday has a fairytales theme.

R is for… Rudimental. The drum and bass hitmakers release a new album in September - T offers a chance to hear how it’s sounding.

S is for… Stars of Tomorrow. The T Break and BBC Introducing stages are filled to the brim with emerging talent. Take a chance to discover stars on the rise.

T is for… Twin Atlantic. The Glasgow foursome have played T many a time and now the Heart & Soul guitar-slingers step up to headlining the Radio 1 stage. Expect them to succeed emphatically.

U is for…Uptown Funk. 2015’s most streamed song will surely appear when superstar producer Mark Ronson drops by for a DJ set on Friday.

V is for… Voice. Stevie McCrorie conquered the TV show earlier this year, and now he’s got a plum spot at T.

W is for… Wolf Alice. The London group’s Glastonbury set saw singer Ellie Rowsell go crowd-surfing - expect similar when they bring their grungey indie to T.

X is for…Xcerts. Noisy grunge-pop supreme from the Aberdeen by way of Brighton trio, who’ve been a terrific live act for years.

Y is for… Years And Years. The electro-popsters are going to be massive, so T offers the chance to see just how they cut it live.

Z is for… Zombie. No, not what some festival-goers will look like next Monday. It’s Jamie T’s massive track, certain to be aired on Sunday.
