Take That singer Howard Donald has revealed he is expecting a baby with his wife Katie Halil.

The 47-year-old shared his excitement over the news on Twitter.

"I have some amazing news to share with you all ..." he teased, before writing: "Katie and I are having a baby! so proud of my beautiful wife and can't wait for the newest member of our family to arrive."

Donald and illustrator Ms Halil married in a secret ceremony in Oxfordshire on January 2, after dating since 2010.

Their wedding was later confirmed by the singer's spokesman, who said: "I can confirm Howard Donald and Katie Halil were married at a private ceremony for close family and friends on January 2."

Donald is already a father to two daughters - 16-year-old Grace and 10-year-old Lola - from two separate relationships.

The mother of his elder daughter is Victoria Piddington, while his younger daughter is from his relationship with former model Marie-Christine Musswessels.

Ms Halil, who graduated in graphic art and design, has worked with Donald's bandmates by producing artwork for Mark Owen's solo releases and animating the video for Gary Barlow's Since I Saw You Last.
