Adele’s Los Angeles warm-up gig for her upcoming concert tour has sold out within hours of it being announced.
The Oscar-winning singer made the surprise announcement on Wednesday about her one-off show at the Wiltern Theatre scheduled for this Friday.
“Tickets for this show are being offered to existing California-area fans registered with Adele.com,” a statement said.

However, such is the demand to see the 27-year-old Londoner, the concert quickly sold out.
Unlucky fans who attempted to obtain tickets via the website posted about their disappointment on social media.

The Hello singer, who is due to perform at the Grammys on February 15 despite not being nominated, had given 1,580 of her most loyal US fans a chance to see her before the ceremony, known as the Oscars of the music world, takes place.
Adele will be back in Britain to perform at the Brits at London’s O2 arena on February 24.
She leads nominations for the 2016 event with nods in four categories. James Bay and Years & Years have also picked up four nominations.
The Skyfall star’s Adele Live 2016 tour continues stateside at the Xcel Energy Centre in Minnesota on July 5.
It will then take in various cities, including Chicago, Illinois, before Adele returns to California at the end of July.
The 10-time Grammy winner did not qualify to be nominated for this year’s ceremony as she released her new music after the required nomination deadline.
Much-anticipated third album 25 came out in November last year. It continues to break sales records on both sides of the Atlantic.
Adele was recently named as the most popular recording artist across the globe in 2015 by the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI).
The accolade reflects an artist’s worldwide popularity across physical formats, downloads and streams.
