Prince was rushed to hospital after his plane made an emergency landing, according to reports.
The music superstar performed in Atlanta, Georgia on Thursday night but hours later, his private jet reportedly made an unscheduled landing at Quad City International Airport in Illinois.
A spokesman for the singer told the website TMZ that Prince had been fighting flu for several weeks and he became unwell on the plane.

The 57-year-old was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment but released three hours later and is now at home, the spokesman said.
Fans of the Purple Rain star were quick to express their relief that his condition was not serious after his name began trending on Twitter.
Oh man, I saw Prince's name trending and fear struck into my heart. I don't want my symbol tattoo to become one of remembrance, like, ever.

The internet yelling at the Universe to keep Prince safe might be the most heartwarming thing I’ve ever seen.
