Rihanna has only gone and beaten The Beatles’ US chart record.

Her single Work has now spent nine weeks at the top of the Billboard Hot 100, America’s most comprehensive music charts.

In total though, 14 of her songs have also spent 60 weeks in number one chart positions, according to Billboard.

Her record is one week more than the Beatles managed for consecutive number ones on the chart.

However, Mariah Carey still holds the record, having managed to get a whopping 79 weeks worth of chart toppers.

The Beatles are in third spot behind Rihanna with 59 weeks and Boyz II Men are at 50 weeks.
