The cast of Broadway musical School Of Rock have got the thumbs up from someone they’ve desperately wanted to impress — Jack Black.
The actor, who starred in the 2003 film that the show is based on, saw a matinee of the production and went backstage to high-five cast members and thank them.

“It was so good. There were so many times I went, ‘I could not have done it that well’,” Jack said, surrounded by thrilled kids.
“You made me laugh. You made he cry. You made me rock.”

The stage version of School Of Rock stays close to the plot of the film, in which a wannabe rocker enlists his pupils to form a rock group and conquer the Battle of the Bands.
