Next weekend sees Scotland’s biggest music festival return.

Here’s an A to Z guide to this year‘s T In The Park…

A is for… Annie Mac. Friday night will see the Radio 1 stage become the Summer of Dance stage and leading the way on hosting duties is club queen Annie Mac.

B is for… Burlesque. The ever stylish Club Noir will be performing for the first couple of days of T, adding some risqué glamour.

C is for… Calvin Harris. 2014 saw chart king Calvin introduced by Will Smith, before dropping a non-stop set of bangers. How’s he going to top that this time round?

D is for… Dance moves. Never mind the Last Shadow Puppets music, anyone who saw Glastonbury will have caught Alex Turner and Miles Kane providing hip-thrusting moves apparently lifted from a 70s dancefloor. T’s due to get some of the same…

E is for… Emotion. Few tap into raw, emotional rock n roll better than Augustines singer Billy McCarthy, who seems to pour his soul out with every song. Check them out on Friday.

F is for… Frightened Rabbit. Five albums in, and the Frabbits are arguably the best band in Scotland. Expect songs that hit the heart and wreck the ears.

G is for… Glamping. Fed up of the mud? This year’s T is offering up more luxurious options, including the Pink Moon campsite’s home comforts.

H is for… Hot Dub Time Machine. Described as a “time travelling dance party”, this will deliver a non stop pop parade from 1954 to the present day.

I is for… I Am The Resurrection. The revival of the Stone Roses continues, and they return to T after headlining in 2012. Inevitable set-closer Resurrection is their most towering achievement, but will they debut new material?

J is for… Jamming. They’ve got plenty of hits, but Sunday headliners and punk-funk legends the Red Hot Chili Peppers love to sometimes stretch out some of their songs in weird and wonderful ways.

K is for… Keeping It Local. There’s always a Scottish heart to T, with local acts to suit all tastes, from Castlemilk singer Gerry Cinnamon’s passionate political pop to the guaranteed sing-a-long when Travis deliver Why Does It Always Rain On Me.

L is for… LCD Soundsystem. The biggest coup of the entire festival, as T brings back James Murphy, five years after he retired LCD in the first place. A dance party beckons.

M is for… Maximo Park. Never quite the massive chart favourites their clever indie-pop deserves, expect Maximo Park to be on typically energetic form.

N is for… Nathaniel Rateliff. Missouri man Nate brought his old school soul to the ABC earlier this year, and has a double date booked for the Barrowland for the autumn, too. This will be sweaty R n’ B all the way – dancing shoes are required.

O is for… Orchestra. As in classical outfit the Rogue Orchestra, who will perform a special tribute to David Bowie and Prince on Sunday.

P is for… Pop heroes. There’s a parade of chart stars over the weekend, including Bastille and Jess Glynne. Arguably the pick of the bunch are the 1975, as Matt Healy and crew’s synth-pop is festival friendly.

Q is for… Queues. Hopefully the issues that blighted getting in and out of last year’s site will have been improved on.

R is for… Rat Boy. Fast-rising star Rat Boy already has a Barrowland date booked in for September. Catch the Essex lad’s blend of indie and hip hop before then.

S is for… Singing Along. T’s Band-A-Oke will be going all weekend long. It’s a chance to live out any rock star dreams and perform with a real backing band.

T is for…Tartan Trousers. And hats, and dresses… The Bay City Rollers are bringing their breezy 70s pop to the bash on Saturday, with all the hits.

U is for… Undiscovered Talent. It’s tempting to stick with the big stages and names, but the T Break and BBC Introducing stages might have your new favourite band or singer.

V is for… Vance. Fresh from supporting Elton John, Foy Vance arrives with a collection of thoughtful, melodic rock and folk tunes.

W is for… We Come 1. One of Faithless’s biggest ever hits, it’ll go down a storm on Sunday as T draws to a close.

X is for… XX. As in Jamie XX. The Londoner delivered a storming set at the O2 Academy last year, and his Tut’s tent appearance on Friday should be unmissable.

Y is for… You & Me. An early hit for Disclosure, almost certain to feature in the garage-house duo’s Friday night show.

Z is for…Zzzzz. You’re not likely to get much sleep over the weekend!
