It’s hard to believe that Harry Judd, Dougie Poynter, Tom Fletcher and Danny Jones – otherwise known as McFly – have been together as a band for 13 years.

But as fans of the pop rock foursome celebrated the group’s 13th anniversary on Twitter, it was easy to see just how long they really have been around as cringeworthy throwback pictures of the lads testify.

It’s fair to say the rockers have grown up into handsome, well-styled men but that wasn’t quite the case in the early noughties as they cut their musical teeth.

Their transformation is unreal, although they didn’t really look any different from their teenage peers of the time, when it was all about long, greasy fringes, oversized baggy jeans and a general sense of being a bit unwashed.

Back in the day, there was a time they all had pretty much the same short spiky hairstyle and favoured beaded necklaces.

They all seemed to favour a permanent stunned open-mouthed expression, too.

Today the more clean-cut McFly, who formed in 2003 before getting a record contract in 2004, are still going strong.

They are set to tour across the UK in September after postponing their June dates due to Harry injuring his neck.

In 2013, they formed a super-group with Busted singers Matt Bourne and Matt Willis called McBusted, but they have disbanded for now.
