Dolly Parton has said she would like to work with Adele – and has hinted that the British singer wants the duet to happen too.

The country music star, 70, who has spoken of her love of Adele, has suggested that the pair will one day collaborate.

Dolly told The Sunday Times Magazine: “I love Adele. Love her. I relate to her like she’s somebody I’ve always known.

“Some day we may get together, write, sing something, wouldn’t that be great? I think we both want that actually.”

The 9 To 5 singer mentions Adele’s name in a new song on her upcoming album.

She sings: “I put on my tight dress, hair piled on my head, painting my lips red and my eyes like Adele.”

Dolly is no stranger to a duet, and is known for singing songs including Islands In The Stream alongside Kenny Rogers. She has also sung her hit Jolene with her goddaughter Miley Cyrus and performed a medley with pop princess Katy Perry.
