LULU has admitted she would love to make music with fellow Scot Paolo Nutini.

The legendary singer praised the Paisley crooner on The Late Show with Ewen Cameron on Thursday.

The Dennistoun born star, who recently turned 69, said: "Paolo is the real deal. I don't know him but I think he is incredibly talented. He is somebody I would love to work with one day."

The singer also spoke of superstar DJ Calvin Harris and how important people like him have become in the music industry.

She said: "Today it is all about the producers. It is not about the artist really anymore."

Lulu is back in Scotland as part of her latest UK tour. She recently announced she will play Glasgow's Kelvingrove Bandstand on June 23, next year.

Host Ewen also asked the singer how she keeps her youthful looks.

She said: "The key is I have always said if you are a beautiful young woman then you get older, you kind of fade. That is a much more difficult stance.

"I was never beautiful when I was young. I was never a stunner but I have learned to make the best of myself.

"So now that I have learned all the things that suit me, and how to do make up and all that. I think people go, 'Oh my god, she looks great' because I was not so great before."

During the interview, the songstress also spoke about her past relationships with David Bowie, George Best and Maurice Gibb.
