INDIE rock star Liam Fray has given Glasgow singer Gerry Cinnamon his seal of approval.

The Courteeners frontman shared the Castlemilk star's song Lullaby with his 150,000 followers on the social media website Twitter.

He said: "Gerry f*****g Cinnamon."

The singer replied: "Class."

Fray will be in the city next year to play Trnsmt festival at the Glasgow Green on the same day as Cinnamon.

Both The Courteeners and Cinnamon play the event on Saturday, June 30 before Liam Gallagher headlines.

The folk singer, who grew up in the city's Castlemilk, released his debut album Erratic Cinematic earlier this year which shot to the top of the iTunes chart.

Cinnamon recently played two sold-out shows at Glasgow's Barrowlands.
