JAH Wobble & The Invaders Of The Heart will be making a pit stop in Paisley this month.

The legendary bass player and his band will kick things off at The Bongo Club in Edinburgh on April 26. They will then perform at Beat Generator in Dundee on April 27 before ending their road adventure at The Bungalow in Paisley on April 28.

Jah told the Evening Times: "I'm very excited to be playing Paisley.

"I’ve heard a lot about it from Scottish friends. They talk of the flat roof pubs of Paisley.

"To be fair the jocks do not f*** around. They will always be up for it. No half measures and all that .

"I know that Paisley will be double intense in that regard. I can’t wait.

"They will have energy. I still have energy. This is a combustible situation arising. It will be fun”.

The tiny tour coincides with the release of a new album from Jah Wobble and MOMO, which will drop in conjunction with Record Store Day on April 21.

Magrhebi Jazz features five brand new tracks that blend jazz with North African influences, and sees Wobble and his band joined by MOMO (Music Of Moroccan Origin) – who are Tahar Elidrissi (vocals, percussion, gimbri) and Hussan Nainia (guitar).
