Looks like Brooklyn Beckham is following in his dad's footsteps after it was announced that he was promoted to Arsenal Under 18s side.

The fifteen year old son of football legend David and fashion designer Victoria Beckham has impressed officials in his performance with the Under 16's team - so he has been put on the substitutes bench for the team's match against Leicester this Saturday.

Brooklyn plays right mid-field like his dad did – and has sparked several comments from spectators that his on-pitch prowess is very similar to his dad's – with one match referee James Caley claiming that the teen has a certain 'Spanish' flair in his movement with the ball.

39 year-old David Beckham played midfield for ten years with Manchester United - scoring a total of 85 goals with the team throughout his career - but he briefly trained with Arsenal during the summer in 2012 to keep fit. Brooklyn's brother Romeo, 12, is a fan of the team, and has been playing for the Under 13's for over a year - while 9 year-old Cruz has been playing for the Under 10's side.

Brooklyn isn't the only junior celebrity whose apple never fell far from the tree - here are other young starlets who steal the shine off their famous families.

Kendall Jenner

The 19 year-old Kardashians star-turned-supermodel has faced a lot of criticism for her hotly anticipated premier on major runway shows from New York to Paris - particularly over the past year - in the belief that her Momager Kris and famous sister Kim Kardashian pulled strings to get her an easy ride straight to the top. She has allegedly been bullied backstage at fashion shows - with some models even putting their cigarettes out in the teen beauty's drinks. Model Arisce Wanzer wrote a scathing open letter to publicly humiliate Kendall after she claimed she had to work "twice as hard" in the industry to be taken seriously - claiming that Kendall's success is due to her family ties. Meeeeoowwww!

Pippa Middleton

All the Duchess of Cambridge's previously unknown sister actually did was help hold the bride's train down the aisle at the Royal Wedding in 2011 - but 31 year-old Pippa's tightly-dressed derriere stole the show, causing an online frenzy which made her a household name within days. Her new star status earned her a column in Vanity Fair and Daily Telegraph and helped her release Celebrate, a complete flop of a book on party-planning and painfully obvious 'tips and tricks' which spurned much mockery online. Credit where it's due, Pippa enjoys writing and helps with her parents party-planning business Party Pieces. While it's not all down to Pippa's bum or her Royal ties, it definitely helped put her on the map.

Miley Cyrus

Miley is arguably the only one on this list that has outshone her parents in her glittering showbiz fame - in fact, Achy Breaky Heart singer Billy Ray Cyrus should probably be on the list instead, as his daughter breathed life into his ailing one-hit wonder career when he starred as her dad in Disney kids show Hannah Montana... But I digress. With her infamous twerking at the 2013 VMAs, songs about taking MDMA and a leaked video of her smoking weed, the 21 year-old has shown that she "can't be tamed" - but she's at least now a star in her own right.

Jayden Smith

Will Smith's teen heartthrob son Jayden has been lucky enough to launch a budding hip-hop career and star alongside his dad in several films. He started out with a cameo in Men In Black 2 when he was four, played Will's son in The Pursuit of Happiness, and most recently starred in sci-fi Box Office flop After Earth - which Will Smith admits was "the most painful failure" of his career, and expressed regret that he "dragged" Jayden into it. When he's not acting or rapping, the 16 year-old likes to spew New Age mumbo-jumbo in interviews with his 14 year-old sister Willow, and posts cryptic existentialist nonsense on Twitter about how the world 'isn't even real'... No wonder he always looks worried in photos.

Lourdes Ciccone Leon

With a mum like Madonna and a name like Lourdes, it would probably be a huge waste of life not to at least try and get famous. The 18 year-old performing arts student has, to her own credit, shunned the luxurious lifestyle for student halls and cheap canteen dinners. But the teenage beauty has inherited her mother's interest in fashion design and music, teaming up with fellow celebutante Kelly Osbourne to promote Madge's clothing range Material Girls in 2010 - which she helped design.

Kelly Osbourne

The infamous brat-spawn of heavy metal musician Ozzy Osbourne and wife Sharon who first graced our screens in the family's reality series The Osbournes in the early Noughties, 30 year-old self-styled mosher misfit Kelly has tried her hands at singing, acting, designing and presenting - gaining notoriety in E! show Fashion Police alongside the late comedian Joan Rivers. She released her debut album Shut Up! in 2002, and she also announced that she was collaborating with Lil Kim on a remix of Elton John's 1974 hit The Bitch Is Back in 2012…. which never materialised. Maybe they both realised half-way through that they were making a huge, irretrievable mistake. Or maybe Kim thought about it ans didn't want Kelly to cramp her style. To quote Kim's Nicki Minaj diss 'Black Friday': "We all know your last name is what got you a job."

Lottie Moss

After signing with Storm Agency, last January Lottie joined a long-established legion of wannabe models like the Geldof and Jagger sisters whose famous names have kickstarted their careers - but the 17 year-old half-sister of supermodel Kate Moss has already had great success. She made her debut as the face of Calvin Klein last July - the same label that propelled Kate and her coveted, 'waif-like' looks to stardom in the Nineties - and starred in a quirky cartoon Valentino campaign during the summer. The other girls may be pretty, but Lottie has modelling in her blood and an iconic older sister who has vowed to take her under her wing.
