Frank Sinatra Jnr will be doing it his way when he plays Glasgow this summer as part of the city's 2015 jazz festival.

In what would have been his dad's 100th year, Frank Jnr will be wowing audiences with some of his late father's greatest hits.

The gig comes 25 years on since Ol Blue Eyes himself played to a crowd of thousands at Ibrox stadium in what was to be his last Scottish concert.

This year Glasgow Jazz Festival brings a whole world of music to Glasgow from June 24 to 28 and there's something for everyone from jazz, world, Dixieland, reggae and hiphop.

Coinciding with World Jazz Day, Glasgow Jazz Festival today released a full programme for its 29th festival.

Frank Sinatra Jnr will be playing the city's Royal Concert Hall on Sunday June 28.

Other headlines names include the legendary Gladys Knight who will be playing the same venue on June 25.

The festival will showcase the cream of Scottish jazz talent and will see acclaimed international artists such as Nettwork Trio performing in a variety of venues throughout the city.

Jill Rodger, director of the Glasgow jazz festival, said: "This will be the 29th annual Festival and in the past we've brought the very best jazz musicians to the city - Miles Davis, Ray Charles, Dizzy Gillespie, and Tony Bennett - to name but a few.

"And Big Bands, lots of big bands - Glasgow loves a Big Band.

"The programme this year is truly international with bands coming from Australia, USA, Brazil, Switzerland and we also the very best in home-grown jazz talent."

The festival which has been running since 1987 is going above and beyond to bring the best in up and coming International performers with Californian performer Jarrod Lawson, dubbed the next soul-jazz sensation, attending the festival for the first time.

Festival fans will be pleased to see the return of popular attraction the Rio club which will host a series of jazz and crossover groups from a pop-up club under Merchant Square and will feature 'Dance-floor friendly' funk which will be sure to get the crowd moving.
