SINGER Midge Ure wowed the Hydro crowd at a massive concert to mark Scotland hosting the Ryder Cup.
The Ultravox legend was just one of the performers at the star-studded event at the SSE Hydro last night in Glasgow.
He performed his signature hit Vienna with a live orchestral backing for the first time.
The singer-songwriter performed the 80s classic with the Royal Scottish National Orchestra at the Ryder Cup Gala Concert.
Other big names taking part included Chic star Nile Rodgers, Texas, Twin Atlantic, Amy Macdonald, Jake Bugg and Nina Nesbitt, who performed with the orchestra at the event.
The concert was put together by Geoff Ellis - the man behind T in the Park.
He said: "Once we were awarded the concert, we wanted to make it unique. You can go and see great bands at the Hydro regularly, so we wanted to make this a bit special.
"If you go to an awards ceremony like the VMAs or the Brits you get a series of acts coming on and it's all about having a great evening, not just building up to a crescendo."
The concert ended with Loch Lomond sung by Donnie Munro with his band and the RSNO.
