LORD of the Rings has topped a poll to find the nation's favourite film theme.
Howard Shore's score saw off challenges from John Williams' Star Wars theme and Hans Zimmer's work on Gladiator to take top spot for the fifth year running.
Williams had four pieces in the top 10 of the poll, which was organised by Classic FM, including work on Schindler's List and Jurassic Park.
Classic FM presenter John Suchet said: "The growing interest in film music confirms that modern classical music is as popular with UK audiences as ever.
"And I'm delighted to see that my personal favourite - Gone With The Wind- has made the top 20."
In a related music poll, Led Zeppelin's Whole Lotta Love is the greatest guitar riff of all time, as chosen by BBC Radio 2 listeners.
In a list of the top 100, it beat rock legend contenders such as Metallica, Nirvana and The White Stripes to the top spot.
