Madonna will be coming to the SSE Hydro this December as part of her international tour.

The Rebel Heart world tour will come to the Glasgow arena on December 20 according to the pop legend's official website.

Fans will get access to the pre-sale on March 10 at 10am with general sale tickets available from March 16 at 10am.

Madonna last played in Scotland when her MDNA tour came to Edinburgh's Murrayfield stadium back in 2012.

The pop legend made headlines this week when she toppled backwards on stage at the Brit Awards.

Madonna's embarrassing wardrobe malfunction appeared to have been caused by her being dragged off the stage by her own cloak.

The cloak then seemed to be pulled backwards, making her fall to the floor while backing dancers looked on in shock.

She fell down three steps onto the floor before getting back on her feet to continue the performance.

Madonna later said she was "fine". The star's red and black cloak was "too tight" and made her fall over, she told her three million followers on Instagram.

She also told  TV presenter Jonathan Ross she suffered whiplash injuries after the fall.

Appearing on the Jonathan Ross show on Saturday, she said: "I didn't hurt my butt, I hurt my head. I did. I know how to fall, I've fallen off my horse many times. I tucked and I have good core strength.

"But the thing is, I had a little bit of a whiplash and I smacked the back of my head. So there was a man standing over me with a flashlight until about 3am making sure I was still conscious."
