THE six top acts from the Danny Kyle Open Stage events will play at the final showcase tonight.
Talented musicians have been competing for a slot almost every evening throughout the Celtic Connections festival at Adelaides in Bath Street.
The regular event, sponsored by the Evening Times, is named in honour of the late Danny Kyle, a passionate supporter of traditional music and a constant campaigner for its revival in Scotland.
It gives new musical talent a chance to shine under the Celtic Connections spotlight and the six best acts win through to the final night showcase concert.
With a support slot at next year's festival up for grabs, it's a hard fought competition.
The final showcase, competed by Danny's close friend Liz Clark, has been a launch pad for many now familiar names including Adam Sutherland, Karine Polwart and The Chair.
The 21st annual Celtic Connections draws to a close tomorrow with a jam-packed day of events.
BBC Radio Scotland Young Traditional Musician of the Year 2014 will be announced at a special event in City Halls at 5pm.
Among those vying for the title is Bishopton pianist Alistair Iain Paterson.
Last year, Celtic Connections attracted more than 100,000 attendances and sold more than £1million tickets, boosting the city's economy.
