Verdict: three stars.

When a little known Meghan Trainor exploded on to the pop scene in 2014 with a catchy tune about positive body image, it was very easy to tag her with the one hit wonder label.

But in a similar fashion to Katy Perry when she released I Kissed A Girl, Meghan has moved on from a controversial debut to prove that she is a credible artist.

Opening up the European leg of her That Bass Tour at Glasgow's O2 ABC tonight with Dear Future Husband, the sassy star commanded the stage as she moved on to Mr Almost.

The 21-year-old then admitted to the sold out crowd, "This is my first show overseas ever," before performing tracks from her debut album Title, including No Good For You.

It was clear from the get go that Meghan promotes a brand of pop which encourages female empowerment. Think the doo-wop version of The Spice Girls and Destiny's Child.

The pretty blonde also possesses that rare pop perfect voice which was showcased beautifully on an acoustic version of Title and the ballad Close Your Eyes.

The Grammy Award nominee also proved she can move dancing to Uptown Funk before joking, "That's my workout for the year."

Radio friendly hit Lips Are Movin' was another highlight of the compact set.

But it was the song that brought Meghan to the world stage that ended the show in spectacular style.

All About That Bass is the track of last year and judging by Meghan's performance, she will be the artist to watch for many years to come.

In fact, Meghan might just be a several hits woman.
