Keira Knightley has revealed her 18-month-old daughter cursed over Donald Trump’s US presidential election win.

The British actress, who is married to former Klaxons keyboard player James Righton, gave birth to Edie in May 2015.

Appearing on The Jonathan Ross Show, Keira said the toddler greeted the president-elect’s victory speech by closing her eyes and saying “f***”.

The Pirates Of The Caribbean actress said: “She is talking a lot, she’s running, she’s literally repeating everything we say, so we’re having to be really careful and we are being really careful but we had this really weird thing the night of the American election.

“I went back to bed and my husband is on his phone and he was like ‘Trump has won’, so like many people we were very awake after that moment and watching the TV and watching it and Edie didn’t wake up until about eight in the morning, at which point I think he was giving his victory speech.

“I brought her into bed and she’s like this, watching the television, completely silently and totally still for about four minutes and she rolls over on to her back and she closes her eyes and she goes ‘f***’.”

Keira added she was “very proud” of her daughter’s reaction.

She appeared on the show alongside Kylie Minogue, who said she and fiance Joshua Sasse are refusing to wed before gay marriage is legalised in Australia.

Kylie said: “He said, ‘Well, we should do something about it’. To his credit, something clicked in him and he said: ‘I’m going to find out about this’.”

Asked if she thinks it will be legalised soon, the Can’t Get You Out Of My Head singer said: “It depends who you listen to, it still could be a long way off.

“(My fiance) is the motor of this and I support him wholeheartedly and so many people have jumped on board but to come from a straight guy, I think it says a lot.

“It seems more powerful than coming from me, everyone knows me, my audience is largely a gay audience. Hopefully it won’t be long,” she added.

Also appearing on the ITV show were Great British Bake Off judge Paul Hollywood and comedians Miranda Hart and David Walliams.
