He was the heart-throb of the late 1980s and early 90s, but when former pop god Jason Donovan hit the stage again on Strictly Come Dancing’s It Takes Two on Friday night, all those feelings came flooding back.
Finishing off an hour-long special programme in the lead up to the competition’s semi-final on Saturday, he gave a special performance of his 1989 hit Too Many Broken Hearts.
And viewers absolutely loved it.
For some, it even took them back to the musical (ahem) glory days…
…Whether for better or for worse.
The 49-year-old music veteran also professed to know a thing or two about dancing as he shared his opinions on the Strictly’s current leader board favourite, Danny Mac.
After watching a clip of Danny rehearse the two dances he will be performing this weekend, he said: “He has come a very long way…but those steps are hard.”
Well then, Danny, you’d better get cracking!
