Julia Louis-Dreyfus has thanked her Veep co-stars and Katy Perry for their “inspiration” after completing her second round of chemotherapy.
The actress, 56, announced in September that she has been diagnosed with breast cancer.
Now she has posted an image of herself on Instagram, complete with sunglasses, hoodie and a fake, drawn-on moustache.
She thanked Veep co-stars Tony Hale and Timothy Simons as well as Roar singer Perry, quoting lyrics from her song.
“Chemo 2: finito. We are not f****** around here. ‘I’ve got the eye of the tiger. The fighter dancing through the fire cuz I am a champion and your’re going to hear me ROAR’,” she wrote.
The US actress added: “Thanks to Tony Hale and Timothy Simons and Katy Perry for their hilarious and loving inspiration.”
She announced last month that she has been diagnosed with breast cancer, sharing the news in a statement posted on Twitter and Instagram, and making a plea for “universal health care”.
“One in eight women get breast cancer. Today, I’m the one,” the Seinfeld and Veep star wrote.
“The good news is that I have the most glorious group of supportive and caring family and friends, and fantastic insurance through my union.
“The bad news is that not all women are so lucky, so let’s fight all cancers and make universal health care a reality.”
