Former EastEnders star Charlie Brooks will star in a UK tour and London run of Torben Betts’ new play Monogamy, it has been announced.
The actress, best known for playing Janine Butcher in the soap, will take on the role of Sally opposite Patrick Ryecart as Mike.
They join the previously announced Janie Dee as Caroline Mortimer, and fellow cast members Jack Archer, Genevieve Gaunt and Jack Sandle.
In the play Mortimer is the nation’s favourite TV cook and seemingly has it all – a sparkling career, a big house in Highgate, a family and the best kitchen money can buy.
However, beneath the immaculate furnishings and studio lighting and away from the glare of the cameras, she must face the looming prospect of living a private life in the public eye.
The UK tour of Monogamy will begin at the Festival Theatre in Malvern from May 2.
It will play at the Aylesbury Waterside Theatre from May 15 to 19 and Richmond Theatre from May 28 to June 2.
It will also run at London’s Park Theatre from June 6 to July 7, with press night on June 11.
