Talented young performers will get the chance to star in a panto with global megastar David Hasselhoff.

The former Baywatch star will play Captain Hook in Peter Pan at the Clyde Auditorium, and the SECC and pantomime producers Qdos Entertainment will be hosting open auditions on Sunday, September 20 for the children’s roles of John and Michael Darling.

The successful applicants will also share the stage alongside panto favourites The Krankies and Evening Times columnist Michelle McManus who will play Mimi the Mermaid.

Executive Producer of Peter Pan Jonathan Kiley, who will be part of the auditioning panel, said: “We are confident that we will attract a lot of very talented young people to these auditions and will have a tough decision to make. Both of the parts will be played by two young people in rotation, so four people from the auditions will be cast in the show”.

Auditions will take place on Sunday, September 20 at the SECC.

Applicants, who must be no taller than 4’ 8”, will be asked to present a prepared monologue, poem or rhyme of their choice and should also be prepared to read from a short except from the script.
