WEDDINGS, especially Glasgow weddings, are the ideal event in which to enjoy chaos, temper tantrums and cat fights.

And the sheer delight of seeing a over-filled faces pass out into the pavlova.

That's certainly Stuart Thomas's thinking, the writer of new Pavilion comedy, Wee Fat |Glesga Wedding.

In recent times the Renfield Street theatre has enjoyed huge success with Real Hoosewives Fae Glasgow, the spoof on the American reality shows.

Now, the theatre is following in the adventures of the same group of women - but drunk on wedding fever and Buckfast.

Starring Nicola Park, Alyson Orr, Michele Gallagher, Sandra McNeeley and Laura Szalecki, the storyline picks up with Donna Marie about to announce her wedding date.

“The girls decide to have a real girlie night out at Glesga girlie night out at Glasgow’s famous night club, The Come-in–thian,” said a spokesman.

“But will it all end up in the bitchynesss we’ve seen in the past – or will they be pals once again?”

And just to complicate matters, as Donna Marrie announces her back, Carmella and Parker – the Real Hoosewives producers – arrive back from America with a surprise to beat all surprises.

Will Donna Marie’s wedding descend into chaos? Will a catfight ensue?

Are you kidding - does a bride wear a garter on her big day?

“What you can guarantee is a great adventure along the way, and lots of great songs of course," the spokesman added.

“You can’t have a wee fat Glasgow wedding without some classic fun, and classic greetin’ songs, from Girls Just Wanna Have Fun to Crying In The Chapel.”
