The Glasgow amateur musical theatre scene is one of the biggest outside of London, and once you're in it? You're in it for life.

How many of these can you check off?

1) Open auditions are the most frightening thing you've ever experienced

2) But nothing is as bad as waiting for the cast list to go up

3) A newbie who got a part? Prepare to be judged

4) But a newbie got a part over someone that was bragging it was guaranteed for them?

5) There's that one guy who gets every single part in every single group

6)But even in the chorus, you know you're going to bust some sweet moves box steps

7) But when you've joined a new group - everyone is already friends

8) So you have to force yourself along to the first cast social...

9) ...which will no doubt end up in Glasgow's favourite karaoke bar, Cosmopol

10) Which wasn't a good idea for the rehearsal you all have the next day

11) And although you were a drunken mess, you seem to have made a whole bunch of new friends

12) Which your old friends don't like as you're always at rehearsal or seeing your cast mates in other shows

13) No matter what, Oklahoma is ALWAYS being performed, so you'll HAVE to go see it. Again.

14) And lie through your teeth that you loved it - "you looked like you were REALLY enjoying being up there"

15) Because all of your friends are in the GlAmDram circle, you have to beg, borrow and steal ticket sales

15) And with no warning show week is here...there's only one way to get through

16) And you try your hardest to steal the attention of the audience every night from the back row

17) But it's all over far too quickly - and when the curtain comes down you're a hot mess

18) Cheering yourself up isn't too much of a task when you remember you have an after party to go to

19) Student? A messy house party that never ends

20) Older group? Has to be Massimo's

21) Either way you're guaranteed that thank you speeches will go on for too long

22)And you'll lose your dignity

23) Until you start all over again with the next show
