TV comedian John Bishop has been put right by social media on his latest purchase in Scotland.
No, they are not just tartan slippers he has been told by followers on Twitter and friends on Facebook, they are baffies.
Or are they.
The house shoe term is thought to originate in the east coast of Scotland, particularly in Fife and Perthshire.
So some say it depends where north of the border the Liverpudlian stand-up comic made the purchase.
@JohnBishop100 @brianboru67 if you bought them on the East coast, they are "baffies" not "slippers".

The house shoes have proved a hit, with nearly 3000 liking his picture on Facebook in four hours.
But his purchase has also predictably to some considerable online ribbing.
