EASTENDERS favourite Shane Richie will tread the boards in Glasgow to star in the world stage premiere of the Peter James' play Not Dead Enough.

The actor, who played Alfie Moon on the show, will play detective superintendent Roy Grace at the Theatre Royal from Monday to Saturday, April 3 to 8.

The star recently had a hugely successful nationwide tour of The Perfect Murder with Jessie Wallace earlier this year.

He will join Strictly Come Dancing star Laura Whitmore who plays Cleo More.

The third thrilling stage adaptation of multi-million selling author Peter James’ novel receives its world stage premiere in January 2017 and arrives at Theatre Royal, Glasgow in April.

Shane said: “I’m thrilled to be asked to play one of the most interesting and innovative characters of modern times in policing.

"I’ve never read a Peter James book and not been taken on a journey of menace, excitement and a roller coaster of a journey with all the thrills and chills!

"It’s an honour to be asked to play Detective Superintendent Roy Grace.”
