SCOTLAND’S newest comedy double act have taken off like a rocket.
The Dolls, two Glasgow girls who set off to have a wild time, features River City star Gayle Telfer Stevens and acclaimed theatre actress Louise McCarthy.
Today, the Dolls have been launched across the country as part of a national theatre tour.
And already sales for shows in the spring of the next year have soared skywards.
The King’s Theatre sold out within an hour of tickets going on sale.
Motherwell Theatre sold out in under ten minutes.
Across the country the story has been replicated, from Inverness to Dunfermline, from Falkirk to Greenock, who have recorded their fastest-ever selling show.
Ayr Gaiety’s website crashed because of the surge in demand and  an extra performance will be added.
And the Beacon in Greenock reported unprecedented sales. Spokeswoman Wendy Niblock said; “We opened at nine am this morning and by 12pm we had sold half the auditorium. The way things are going this is certain to be a sell-out show.”
The Dolls are delighted to have a national success story on their hands, and there is every chance TV producers will spot their potential, given the legacy created by Glasgow-created hits such as  Mrs Brown’s Boys and Still Game.
Louise McCarthy said; “I’m Just a wee lassie fae Maryhill and me and my best pal Gayle Telfer Stevens have built this all up ourselves from scratch.
“We’re so touched that people have believed in us, and so proud that two lassies have made this happen because it’s usually men that succeed in comedy.”
