GLASGOW’S Britannia Panopticon is getting its first panto since the building closed 78 years ago.
The world’s oldest surviving music hall will showcase the story of Aladdin from Saturday, December 10 to 18, Saturday and Sunday only.
There will also be an adults only performance on Friday, December 16 at 8pm.
The show is being staged to raise funds for The Friends of Britannia Panopticon Music Hall Trust (SCIO).
Writer and director of Aladdin Grant F Kidd said: “I am delighted that I was asked to bring panto back to the Panopticon after a 78-year absence.
“Our show focuses on the traditional fun of panto, full of music, comedy and magic.”
