A FINALIST in the hit BBC series Over The Rainbow will play Carole King in a new musical at a Glasgow theatre.
Bronté Barbé, who was a finalist in the Andrew Lloyd Webber’s BBC1 television series in 2010, will tread the boards at the King's Theatre as the singer from Tuesday to Saturday, February 13 to 17.
The Carole King musical - Beautiful, will come to the city as part of a major UK and Ireland tour after receiving its Broadway premiere in 2014.
The show is based on the early life and career of legendary singer/songwriter Carole King and features countless classics such as (You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman, Take Good Care of My Baby, You’ve Got a Friend, So Far Away, It Might as Well Rain Until September, Up on the Roof and The Locomotion.
