GLASGOW panto stars have given their backing to a cancer charity.

Jenny Douglas and Kieran Brown, who are appearing in Aladdin at the King's Theatre, wished more patients could be helped on behalf of Cancer Support Scotland.

Kieran, in the title role, and Jenny who plays Princess Jasmine, praised the wide range of complementary therapies provided free by the charity.

They made three wishes asking for a healthy future for people dealing with cancer, more investment in the care of cancer patients and more people to take up cancer screening.

Jenny said: "I'm delighted to be supporting a charity which is very close to my heart."

Colin Graham, chief executive of Cancer Support Scotland, welcomed Jenny and Kieran's support.

He said: "If I had even only one wish, it would be that more members of the public and businesses would help us through donations or fund- raising and I'd like to appeal to them to lend us their support."
