INTERNATIONAL best- selling crime author Jeffery Deaver is heading to the unlikely surroundings of a Glasgow suburb to launch his new book.
The award-winning American writer will be making a personal appearance at The Avenue Shopping Centre in Newton Mearns to highlight his latest thriller The Skin Collector.
It's a follow-up to his hugely successful 1997 novel The Bone Collector which was later made into a hit film.
The author will read extracts and sign copies of his new novel at the free event being staged next Tuesday by Waterstone's at Primavera between 7pm and 8.30pm
Mall manager Michelle McCabe said: "We're delighted Jeffery has chosen to return to The Avenue for the only Scottish date to mark the launch of his new book."
She added: "I can't wait to meet the author in the flesh."
