Geordie duo Ant and Dec 'rolled the titles' in spectacular style on their Saturday Night Takeaway Live show at Glasgow's SSE Hydro tonight.

Playing the first date of four at the venue - they are due back August 25 to 27 - the loveable pair brought their cheeky charm, ridiculous yet funny one-liners and a pack of celebrity pals to entertain the lively Hydro audience.

Appearing from the back of the arena, the boys ran to stage - stopping for a few selfies with the fans along the way of course - to belt out The Boys are Back in Town.

And this blazing intro was only a taste of things to come.

From a wedding proposal in the audience to a karaoke contest featuring the boys of Blue, Ant and Dec's proved that their recipe of mischief and fun translates easily from the TV to stage.

With former TOWIE star Joey Essex making sure the proceedings ran smoothly and former Pussycat Doll Ashley Roberts adding sex appeal to Ant Vs Dec, the audience were treated with cameos from all their TV favourites.

A stunning jig from the cast of Riverdance featuring Ant and Dec had the audience already pretty satisfied - and that was just the first half.

The second half was all about the audience who gave the boys one of the best reception's the Hydro has ever seen.

From participating in the games to laughing at the jokes, the crowd showed just how much they love the award-winning presenters.

Little Ant and Dec quizzing the girls of Little Mix in a VT brought even more laughs, and a special screening of one of the show's games was just the icing on the TV gold cake.

The boys bring a rare blend of entertainment suitable for all the family to the show which is why it is hard not to love them.

And when they took things back to their PJ and Duncan days with a rendition of Let's Get Ready to Rumble to finish things off...you had to laugh with them, after all they can laugh at themselves.

My only criticism is...we need more Ant and Dec entertainment in our lives.
