A PLAY about a life-changing gap year is to be performed at Paisley Arts Centre.
Educating Ronnie tells the true story of Joe Douglas, who takes a gap trip to Uganda and befriends local boy Ronnie.
The centre is hosting the play on September 11 after it had a successful run at the Tron Theatre.
The tale is based on a true story that takes place over a decade, exploring the "murky processes behind bettering oneself in Uganda.
It examines friendship and charity, and the meaning of need, as well as tracing the growing relation-ship between the two friends that has crossed decades and continents.
Tickets cost £10 (£6 conc) and are available from the box office on 0300 300 1210 or online at www.renfrewshire.gov.uk/onlinebooking
