EVENING Times' online columnist Cat Cubie planted her support for a campaign to raise cash for a tree project in Glasgow's Botanic Gardens.
The presenter wasn't afraid to get her hands dirty when she launched the public appeal to raise £100,000 for a Tree Hub project in the popular park.
The hub is intended to be an information point linking the city with other major tree collections across Scotland.
The campaign is appealing to the people who enjoy the gardens on a regular basis.
Cat said: "Many, many local people get the benefit of the Botanics on a daily basis whether they're walking to work, university or just out for a peaceful stroll in a busy, bustling city.
"The new Tree Hub will be a fantastic addition to Botanics and I hope local people will get their green fingers behind the campaign.
"As a West Ender, I feel very lucky to have such a haven on my doorstep."
Friends of Glasgow Botanic Gardens teamed up with National Tree Collections of Scotland to get the project off the ground.
