Oscar winner Eddie Redmayne, 33, gushed over Neigbours actors Alan Fletcher and Jackie Woodburne in his Academy Award acceptance speech - and it didn't go unnoticed by TV bosses.
In an interview with Elle, he claimed they were "the greatest unsung acting duo in history" and he told www.news.com.au that he "learnt a lot from them."
Neighbours producer Jason Herbison has said that he would be keen to invite Redmayne, 33, onto the show - and have him stay with his soapstar idols.
He told The Sun: "If we could cap off an incredible year for Eddie by writing a guest role, however big or small, it would be our privilege. "I would ensure he moves into the Kennedys' - they are renowned for hospitality."
With the show's 30th anniversary approaching, the actor would be in good company TV bosses have big plans to give Jason Donovan, Kylie Minogue and Margot Robbie cameo roles on the hit series.
We'll be keeping our eyes peeled!
