A young Cersei Lannister visits a fortune telling witch in the opening scenes of Season 5 of Game of Thrones. "Three questions you get, you won't like the answers," threatens the witch.

The young Cersei is full of attitude, a right little madam in fact. At least we now know where her deceased 'devil' son Joffrey gets it from. She demands to know when will I marry the prince? "You'll never wed the prince, "teases the witch, "You'll wed the king." Will the king and I have children? Cersei continues. "The king will have 20 children and you will have three." Cersei exclaims, 'that doesn't make sense' but for every Game of Thrones fan it makes perfect sense. King Robert Baratheon and his b*****d children - where would Game of Thrones be without them? In that same fateful meeting the witch also warns Cersei, "You'll be queen for a time then comes another. Younger, more beautiful to cast you down and take all you hold dear." The witch surely has to be talking about Daenerys Targaryen and her conquering ways. The daft witch however doesn't answer the question we all really want to know - who is bloody Jon Snow's mother? Perhaps a question to be answered this season finally, I can only hope. Until then I'll indulge in the fan theories. So season five has finally arrived with four episodes for the pirates amongst us and a new episode on Monday evenings on Sky Atlantic for everyone else. If you have cooncil tele, nae luck - you are missing out on one of the greatest TV shows to ever grace our screens. Even the theme tune is epic. The story continues right where it left off - so if you have never seen Game of Thrones, you really need to catch up otherwise the plot will make no sense. And if you are like me you will binge in four seasons in one week - it was that good! For those, however, in the know, the Lannisters mourn the death of their father Tywin while their imp brother Tyrion has escaped Westeros. In typical GoT style. one of Khaleesi's unsullied is murdered in a brothal of all places - leaving us with the question does she have a new enemy this season? Meanwhile, Jon Snow is tasked with encouraging the wildlings to take back the north on behalf of King Stannis Baratheon and in return they will be given a place to stay in the realm. But will they be convinced to join this army? The opener is aptly named The Wars to Come and it sets up the season nicely, there is a major character death - c'mon it's Game of Thrones, several storylines have moved on and there are some new faces. Some of the big characters are missing though...no Arya, Ramsay or Theon. I'm intrigued to know how they are doing especially little Arya. Winter still hasn't arrived - will it ever? But I can safely say judging by the opener there will be another season of humour, sex, politics, death, great one-liners and most importantly Jon Snow. Yes I'm one of those Game of Thrones fans and I plead with the producers please don't kill him, I'm still recovering from Rob Stark's death and that wedding. So Monday nights are pretty much sorted and aside from Littlefinger's dodgy accent and Stansa Stark's hair makeover, Game of Thrones is still one of the best shows I have seen on TV in years. Not hooked on Game of Thrones yet? You know nothing. (You'll get this reference if you watch it). Game of Thrones is on Sky Atlantic Monday at 9pm How twitter reacted:
