GLASGOW-born actress Mary Riggans, who played Effie Macinnes in High Road and Susie Sweet in Balamory has died aged 78.
Her first radio role was as a 10-year old in 1946 and in 1983, she won the Radio Actress of the Year award for her performance as Jean Armour in Till A' the Seas Run Dry.
