PRESENTER Holly Willoughby had a tearful farewell as she bowed out of ITV's This Morning ahead of the birth of her third child.
She promised viewers she would return as she handed over to her replacement Amanda Holden, who presented her with a bouquet to send her off.
Co-host Phillip Schofield joked: "It's a historic day for Scotland today, polls are open on the independence referendum, but there is much bigger news here - it's Holly's last day."
She admitted she had found it difficult to talk to Schofield without welling up as she would miss the programme and the team.
