ACTOR and screenwriter Mark Gatiss, responsible for Sherlock and The League of Gentlemen, said the remake of Dad's Army which he appears in will maintain the poignancy of the original.
The 48-year-old will be playing Captain Mainwaring's colonel. He said it was being made by people who love the original.
