It has had almost obscene success with Britain's Got Talent and The X Factor (also returning this weekend), but not content with that, it is now going after BBC1's Strictly audience with this new dance-based competition featuring - you guessed it - celebrities, performing with their real-life partners (cover your mouth when you yawn).
It is hosted by Davina McCall, the Duracell bunny of presenters, who says she is "beyond excited" and "can't wait".
If you can wait, then perhaps the celebrity line-up will tempt you. We have Brian McFadden - best known for his time with boy band Westlife a decade ago - who will be joined by his DJ wife Vogue Williams; former Coronation Street and Waterloo Road actress Denise Welch with husband Lincoln Townley; JLS star Oritsé Williams and his girlfriend AJ Azari; dandified interior designer Laurence Llewelyn Bowen - best known for appearing in Changing Rooms in the 1990s - with his wife Jackie; international boxing champ Carl Froch with girlfriend Rachael Cordingley; and actress Glynis Barber with her husband, actor Michael Brandon, who were the stars of 1980s cop show Dempsey & Makepeace.
We get to see them practising in their own homes each week en route to the dance floor for the big competition, trying a new genre each week, before a judging panel (trust me, if you have déjà vu now, wait till Strictly starts). It ain't original, but it could get you tango-ing round the kitchen table.
