THE writer of the best selling Outlander books has said she doesn't know why the TV adaptation of her time travel books is not yet being shown in the UK.
At an appearance at the Edinburgh International Book Festival, Diana Gabaldon said Sony were still in negotiations about a UK broadcast.
The first episode was shown on August 9 in the US and had 5million viewers.
Much of the series was filmed on location in in Scotland, with scenes shot in Glasgow's Pollok Park and the Highlands.
