THE hunt for the next X Factor winner is coming to Glasgow.

A mobile audition van will stop off at the St Enoch Centre on Friday from 10am.

Glasgow wannabes are being urged to turn up ready to impress the team with their vocals.

Those who shine will go on to perform for the celebrity panel when judges' auditions take place this summer.

Anne Ledgerwood, general manager of the St Enoch Centre, said: "Hosting the X Factor auditions at St Enoch Centre is great for shoppers, staff and retailers alike.

"We're really looking forward to hearing some of the auditions and will be keeping our fingers crossed that we will have a future X Factor winner in our midst."

X Factor boss Simon Cowell has said the hit TV show will go on for at least another three years.

After Gary Barlow announced he was quitting the show's judging panel, rumours grew about his potential replacement.

Among those in the frame appear to be Kesha, Paloma Faith, Olly Murs and Mel B.

Last year's live auditions in Glasgow were held at the SECC and the judges were famously not impressed with the level of talent on display.

To audition on Friday, entrants must be aged 14 by April 30 2014.

Anyone under the age of 18 need to have their parents or guardians permission before applying and must be accompanied by them on the day.
