Sci-fi show for children filmed in city

A CHILDREN'S sci-fi show filmed on the streets of Glasgow stars TV period drama Mr Selfridge actress Poppy Lee Friar in the lead role.

Part of the latest series of CBBC hit Eve, a 30-minute show about a robot's attempts to be a regular teenager, was shot in Aytoun Road in the South Side last month.

The children's television team are also filming the 13 series, which will be aired on CBBC early next year, in other parts of Scotland.
