GARY Tank Commander star Leah MacRae is joining the cast of BBC Scotland's River City.
The Scottish actress will play Ellie McLean, a fun-loving care-worker tasked with looking after dementia sufferer Malcolm Hamilton, played by Johnny Beattie.
She will appear on screen in December.
Other new faces taking up residence in Shieldinch are Alan Lindsay's estranged wife, Rhona played by Jo Freer, while Rachel Grant (Therese Bradley) will return as a newly promoted DCI.
